The Person Project is an interactive psychology research website. Our goal is to understand the why people do what they do. We want to reach people from all different backgrounds and include them in the latest psychology research.What will you do?
By registering for an account, you are agreeing to help us to integrate data across diverse studies. When you participate in a study, you will be asked to pay attention to words or pictures on your computer screen, and/or answer questions about yourself or about other people. You will make responses using your keyboard or your mouse. Your participation in this project is completely voluntary, and you may discontinue your participation at any point.Are there benefits to registering?
Participants with Person Project accounts will have a personal homepage where you can view information about all the studies that you have participated in. There you can view feedback on your performance in each study, and learn more about the research you contributed to. Accounts also allow you to skip demographics questions prior to beginning a new study, saving you time.Are there any risks to registering?
We take great care to protect you and your data. All of your information is stored in an encrypted form in a secure and password-protected database. Your personal information will not be shared with anyone outside of the research team. Anonymized data from your participation may be submitted to a repository as part of a dataset that is publicly available and can be used to answer further research questions. This dataset will not include any other information that can be used to uniquely identify you.When participating in a study, if you find that any question makes you feel uncomfortable, you have the option to skip that question. You are also free to end any study at any time by closing your browser window.
